The Health Claims Forum is a life insurance industry organisation whose purpose is to improve claims management through the sharing of knowledge and experience within the life, health and disability claims field.
Membership is open to people, employed by life offices, who deal with the payment and assessment of life, health or disability insurances and to employees of companies who provide claims management services to insurers.
The Forum meet four times a year, usually in February, May, September and November. The content of the meetings is extremely varied, with speakers from within the industry as well as those from the medical and legal professions.
The Health Claims Forum is run by a committee elected by its members who provide their time on a voluntary basis.
The Forum operates to a constitution which governs the membership of the Forum and the Committee.

Jen is Deputy Claims Manager at Hannover Re, with 20 years of industry experience within both the direct office and reinsurance environment. Once a CII exam fanatic, wannabe world traveller (and cheeky Jagerbomb enthusiast). Jen now enjoys spending her time outside of work looking after her young family (and has replaced Jagerbombs with a nice large glass of wine!).

Clio started her career as an Occupational Therapist before making the move into disability claims assessment with a direct insurer in South Africa. She has been with Gen Re London since September 2015, with a particular interest in Income Protection. Outside of work, Clio loves to swim, run and cycle…she’s also partial to a good pub quiz and board games!

Tim is Head of L&H Claims Market for UK & Ireland, at Swiss Re. He started work in insurance in 1988, working 10 years at a primary market insurer, in their Underwriting and Claims Teams. Tim joined Swiss Re (GE Insurance Solutions) in 1998 and has held various roles in the L&H Claims, except for the six years he spent Swiss Re’s P&C side of the business. He returned to his current role in 2022. Outside of work, Tim enjoys spending time with friends and family, and on Saturday’s can usually be found on the golf course.

Anthony is MetLife’s Lead Medical Services Consultant and has over 30 years’ experience as a Nurse within the NHS and the Insurance industry working with Insurance professionals in Claims, Actuarial, and Underwriting both within the PMI and Income protection arena. His role is to provide expert medical and technical advice and support to ensure Assessors have a good understanding of their full medical picture. In his spare time Anthony is a competitive double bit axe thrower and instructor.
