The Health Claims Forum is a life insurance industry organisation whose purpose is to improve claims management through the sharing of knowledge and experience within the life, health and disability claims field.
Membership is open to people, employed by life offices, who deal with the payment and assessment of life, health or disability insurances and to employees of companies who provide claims management services to insurers.
The Forum meet four times a year, usually in February, May, September and November. The content of the meetings is extremely varied, with speakers from within the industry as well as those from the medical and legal professions.
The Health Claims Forum is run by a committee elected by its members who provide their time on a voluntary basis.
The Forum operates to a constitution which governs the membership of the Forum and the Committee.

Anthony is MetLife’s Lead Medical Services Consultant and has over 30 years’ experience as a Nurse within the NHS and the Insurance industry working with Insurance professionals in Claims, Actuarial, and Underwriting both within the PMI and Income protection arena. His role is to provide expert medical and technical advice and support to ensure Assessors have a good understanding of their full medical picture. In his spare time Anthony is a competitive double bit axe thrower and instructor.

Tim is the Underwriting and Claims Propositions Manager for UK & Ireland, at Swiss Re. He started work in insurance in 1988, working 10 years at a primary market insurer, in their Underwriting and Claims Teams. Tim joined Swiss Re in 1998 and has held various roles in the L&H Claims, except for the six years he spent on Swiss Re’s P&C side of the business. He returned to Life & Health in 2022. Outside of work, Tim enjoys spending time with friends and family, and on Saturdays can usually be found on the golf course.

Kieran is the claims technical and training lead at SCOR. A senior assessor with over 18yrs experience in the Protection Industry, having worked at SCOR for the last 11yrs.
Kieran is a law graduate but quickly found he was more passionate about Neurology when he joined claims, he even attended the Cardiff University Academy during his time as an assessor at Legal and General.

Outside of work it’s as much family time as possible between various roles at the local cricket club including coaching kids cricket and clinging on to still playing.

Clio started her career as an Occupational Therapist before making the move into disability claims assessment with a direct insurer in South Africa. She has been with Gen Re London since September 2015, with a particular interest in Income Protection. Anne has been a Senior Claims Underwriter at RGA for over 20 years, having previously worked for insurers and third party administrators. As well as the assessment of complex claims she delivers client training, sets philosophy, and undertakes client audits. Outside of work Anne is an avid traveller, often combining her passion for circus skills and volunteering with her trips!
